Love live trees, but my wood stove and them don't get along that well... so it's fake for me.

We do the live tree thing as well. Since we have lived in idaho we have chucked them off the back deck when we are through with them. They typically lay out there as green as ever until late summer when we take them away or burn them.

We have never had a live tree, but I have seen some up here that folks get, they get awful dry... I would like either, but there is less mess with a fake I reckon

Fake tree at my house. Anything that lessens the work load for me is a good thing in my book.

Live trees are nice every now and then I think. I just get tired of getting scratched and poked repeatedly when you barely brush against them. Plus you get sticky sometimes and that stuff don't come off without thoroughly washing whatever it's on! But they smell nice......
