Need some advice!

I am in the market for a new to me diesel truck with a very strict budget of 10k to 10,500! I am in the midst of refinancing my house and my current truck a 2001 ford f350 with 380,000 miles has start showing me signs that is tired of being a tow rig and that it's getting to where I am a little concerned to drive it 84 miles a day to work and back.

Anyways, I have been looking at quite a few trucks and it seems that 04-06 ford trucks with an average of 180,000 to 225,000 in my price range with a small hand full of 07s and 08s thrown in.

I have found one that I really like. It's a 2008, f350, 4 door, long bed, xlt, 2wd, 165000 miles, automatic, srw, long bed for 10,500 ( got the owner down from 12500). Anyways, I spoke with the current owner on the phone and he was telling me that it has a gooseneck hitch in it, but he hasn't towed with it. He told me that he had the turbos rebuilt about a year ago. That the only issue with the truck is a squeaky belt when you first start it.

Is there anything I need to look for with the 6.4L when I go to actually test drive it?

What is your recommendation for my situation? Should I maybe try to look for a late model 6.0 and get a few more luxuries for my $$ (I am just concerned about the 6.0's reputation of bad head studs). What would one of you do if you were in my shoes?

Here is a pic of the '08

Here is my current truck:

Thanks for the advice guys!

That's ok anyways. I am about 90% sure I don't want that truck now. Instead of trying to find a bare bones '08 I am going to search for an '05-'07 ford. I found a few in my price range that are pretty well loaded with right at or under 200k miles. I have until September 1 to buy so I am going to take my time and find a smoking deal on one.
