Opinions/experiances with extended warranties

I am considering picking up an extended warranty. I know there are some that think they are a waste and I have talked to others who like them. I am looking at a couple of companies that offer to pay the repair shop directly vice reimburs. I found a website that is like a refferal site that has member companies and reserves the right to arbitration. So lets here it.

If its not directly from ford then don't waste your money in my opinion. You will end having to take then to court to get them to pay in most cases

If you don't mod your truck you will never have an issue with ford paying a warrenty claim

There doesnt seem to be a ford plan for a vehicle older than 2004.

Yeah its possible you won't be able to get an extended warrenty with your 02. I was able to get one for mine, but that was in dec of 06. I really can't give you any good advice on a company to pursue for aftermarket insurance. The only thing I can tell you is get the paperwork and have a lawyer look at if before you sign and payout the money
