Life Expectancy?
I'm new to these forums so I apologize if this has been covered before and I missed it.
I have my eye on a 96 F-250 powerstroke with 250k on it. It'll mostly be a home center / backup vehicle / toy. I'm worried about the miles on it however, and wonder how many more miles it might last. Are there any other gotchas about that model year or the mileage I should be aware of? Oh, and I'm guessing it has a turbo as well? |

Like all vehicles, if it has been taken care of.. it will be fine. You could have another 100k left on the motor, or 5k. I would suggest having a professional diesel mechanic go over the truck.
And yes, the '96 powerstroke has a turbo

Thanks for the advice.
Here's what I have my eye on, any ballpark ideas if it's a good value or not? Assuming it's average and hasn't been beaten on too severely.. 1996 Ford F250 Extended Cab 4WD - 7.3 Litre Diesel |
