Diesel additives

Hello all, newbie here.
wanted to start a discussion about diesel additives.
Have been trying different products, specifically Lucas and Howe's.
So far i believe the Howe's has shown the best results, but I would like to get other people's input as to what they have tried and what has shown the best results.

Thanks Tank, like i Said, Newbie.
Havent looked into the veggie thing.
Just got my truck back into operating condition after it was stolen and thrashed.
Got most of the issues sorted out, now trying to improve.
Getting 17 miles per gallon or better, but trying to improve.
Likely to see alot more rookies questions from me, but have tried alot of different things, so hopefully be able to contribute in return.
Again, thanks for the helpfull steer.

Biodiesel is the bomb for an additive. I just reinforced that in my mind tonight. I have been running about a B3 concentration and at last fill up we have a cold snap and my B99.9 was starting to gell so I didn't put any in. Running that tank of straight ULSD my motor got noisier and was really making a racket. I ran the tank pretty low so before I left the house tonight I dumped a 5 gal can that was about a B35 mix into the tank on top of the 3 gals or so I had left in the tank. The difference in the engine when I started it up was nothing short of amazing. It was so quiet I just said holy$%#&, I had forgotten how much quiter it runs with the Bio in it. Now that it is warming up nicely I will be running at least a B20 as long as it is warm enough. I can't say enough about what a difference it makes.
