The body styles are he same. Early 99 have the V8 logo, I know this. But how can you tell a 2001 7.3 from my 2004 6.0 going down the road.
I KNOW there are some Kats here whom can answer this.
7.3 were still in production in 2004 along with 6.0L. So how can you tell the dif without lifting the hood.
Negative. Ford DID NOT use the same diesel badges on the door from 99-04. the 03-04 6.0's all have the same logo on the door. 05-07 6.0's have a different emblem
and the 7.3ls have the old badge. Altho some of the early 99's have the fender 'Powerstroke V8" badges, and or the regular door emblem
The badge you have on your truck(i assume yours is an 04) is the 6.0 badge.
This is the 05-07 6.0 door badge
And this is the late 99-03(and some early 99's) 7.3 door badge.
And this would be the 03-04 6.0 badge
