rear wheels seem hot

on my 3/4 ton 2006 the rear hubs seem to be real hot , I jacked the truck up and hit the brakes ,they are spinning fine when I release the brake , and just after a very little ride they smell hot too and are very hot to the touch , they are disc brakes ., is that normal

Are they as hot as the front or hotter? I had a caliper that was sticking, but it was quite obvious after I jacked the truck up.
