Auxiliary Steel Fuel Tank?

Is it safe to use a steel aux fuel tank with diesel and Bio diesel fuel? I have an old tank out of my old truck that is about 50gal and wanted to use it.

i dont see why not. I have a steel tank in the bed of my truck. Just make sure you put a filter on the pump jsut in case there is some junk in the tank.
