For my trans temp. gauge, I had to supply my own wire for the temp. sender. The only thing I had was 18gau. The guage seems to work correctly, but @ times seems a little slow. Is there a recommended size wire for temp. senders? Is the 18gau. putting resistance from the sender to the gauge? If it's anything, I'm referring to an electric, short sweep, AutoMeter Z-series.

Wire gauge is related to resistance yes, but a bigger wire = less resistance and a smaller wire = less. If that helps you then

Just for the temp signal 18 ga should be fine.

Thanks, fellas. I was worried I would've had to take apart my A-pillar & start all over again. I appreciate the input!
