Which is better electric or mechanical fuel guage

I'm choosing between an electic or mech fuel pressure guage I know i will need a isolator for the mechanical one.

if you will mount it inside your cab get an electrical. i am not sure how the isolater works on the mechanical but the thought of a fuel leak inside the cab can ruin your day. i may be wrong but hopefully someone that knows more can school us both on this.

With the mechanical, the isolator allows you to mount the gauge in the cab because you will not have fuel in the cab. The isolator uses antifreeze to transfer the fuel pressure to the gauge. It has a diaphram in it that separates the fuel from the antifreeze. Which one is better IDK. With dodges the electric ones cannot be used due to the lift pump spikes in pressure would destroy the sending unit.
