Buying my first diesel (need advice)

Hello everyone, these past few months i have been doing alot of research on diesels. i have loved them my whole life and have always wanted to own one, i will be doing occasional towing and hauling, i currently own a ford ranger , time for something a little bigger. Now i have read plenty of pages comparing the 7.3 PSD to the 6.0h no, i currently have two trucks i plan to go look at one is a 2002 f350 with 110k they are asking 12.5 k for it, it has an extended cab with a camper it is also the xlt, it is in great condition, my other option i am looking at is a 6.0 2004 with 110k for 13.9k, it is a lariat the drivers seat looks a little torn up but other than that good condition, it is also a extended cab. Now i am kind of afraid of buying a 6.0 just because of hearing all these horror stories about them, i do not want to have to dump alot of money just to make them reliable. i will make sure to get an oasis report to see if it has been problematic, if i do get a 6.0 i will do a little bit of mods not a lot, im a newbie when it comes to working on trucks but i do have some basic knowledge, another thing i have noticed is 7.3 is harder to find than 6.0 is that because people are afraid of 6.0, or are they ALL really that bad? . i would love to hear from you guys!

I am looking for another 7.3 now. they are super hard to find and if they have less than a 100k on them they are rediculosly expensive. I have one with 325K on it and have basically had no problems with it, got it new (800 demo miles). I also have 2 more, one with a 150k and another with 179k. Both without any problems. All of them are 2002 f-350's. I use them for work. Need to replace my MT truck now and have been looking for over a year now and still haven't found a good low milage one for under $30k that hasn't instantly sold. Good luck. I had one 2004 6.0 for a year and got rid of it. Hated it and had several problems with it.
