Got the 96 for plowing snow,because it came with a plow. Got the 02 because I got tired of the wife stealing my 96.

I wanted one since the ex's rolled off the line, took me a while, but I have mine now, and I'll more than likely own it for the next 10 years+ if I can, and 500k miles plus.

Oh yeah, because it's ford, diesel, and biggest SUV on the market. Plus, it just looks damn good.

And I like the fact that with a diesel when you do performance mods, you get better MPG. Thats just makes me all tingly all over.

This might get a little long, but I'll try to keep it as short as I can.

My 1st veh., 89 Mazda (not big enough), I traded that in on a 95 f-150 (it was great for a while but it got totalled ) after that I went through various cars, including a 70' Chevelle (favorite vehicle I've ever owed, but I had to sell it, )

After selling the Chevelle I wanted another truck but wanted to upgrade from the 150 (I hate the new f-150 body style anyway) so I picked up a 99' SD gasser, I wanted a diesel but got a "good" deal on the gasser (in hind sight, I should have passed and got the 00' SD diesel I was also looking at, for $8,000 more)

I had the 99' for 6 years, then I got stationed at LORSTA St. Paul (A very small island in the middle of the Bering Sea) It was an isolated duty station (no family / vehicles allowed) Well needless to say, I saved a $h!t ton of money out there.

When I transfered out of there I sold the 99' and picked up my 07' (best purchase EVER) been lovin' it ever since.

Well I started with a 91 Chevy wt no options with a 305 then I got a 98 Chevy 6.5 loaded I loved it then work gave me a 03 7.3 loved it even more then my 6.5 which gave me LOTS!!! of trouble and gave me a bad taste for Chevy diesels and i was moving out west and knew it wouldn't start in cold weather so I traded it for a yukon and hated it then I got some money together and decided to get a 7.3 and traveled 800km to buy one that the guy said was mint but when I looked at it it was a POS box beat in, cigarette burns through the interior, sloppy steering, dents etc. stopped at a dealer on the way back looking for 7.3's and seen this 6.0 I loved it and the girlfriend told me to test drive it and said it suits me and to get it and be happy and stop dragging her all over the country looking at trucks so I did and couldn't be happier

Let's see here..... I have always been true to the oval. First ride was a '78 Ford F-150 Gasser. Sold it to dad and got a '95 Ford F-150 gasser. My neighbor bought a Dudge diesel and kept bragging about how much better his diesel was then my gasser. Within a week, traded the '95 in on the '99 F-350 . The look on his face when I came home in the F-350 Stroker was priceless...I could have done my own MasterCard commercial
