New to the forum. Have a ?

Hey y'all. I'm new to the forum. I'm a jeep guy, but I'm really wanting a powerstroke. I'm 16 and get my license in under a month. I'm really wanting a 350 extenda cab. I found one today that I really like. But.... It's a 6.0. It's a 2005 with 150,000 on it. I'm new to diesels but my dads not. He drives a hot shot and has bought a new powerstroke every four years. I guess my big question is. Should I bother with this 6.0. Or try to wait and find a 7.3 I like. My dad had an 06 and it gave him a lot of problems. I've been reading and what I've found is that people say the 05 6.0s were the best and that 06s and 04s were really bad. And I've also been reading that most of the 7.3s were pretty good. I was also wondering what kind of mileage the 6.0s and the 7.3s get. My dads 6.4 gets about 10-12 now.

Any info y'all could give me is appreciated. Thankya

You're 16 and wanting a diesel?
Its a bigger maintenance undertaking than most gas motors..and everything costs more. just a huge fyi.
