Sometimes I forget
Sometimes I forget how to drive an auto. I've been driving the work truck (5speed) for about 2 months now. I got my truck back a week ago but to lazy to transfer my tools so I just keep driving it. Well today I get in my truck and go to start it and kick my foot to the floor thinking theres a clutch there, then I get ready to go and reach for the stick that isn't there. Well after I get settled I go to put it in gear and put it in reverse when I wan't to go into drive. Then when I park the truck I put it in neutral then realize I should put it in park. This happens all the time. Well at least I'm not putting gas in the truck.

I have my late father's '98 Chevy 1500 gasser. I find myself sitting there with the switch on waiting for the 'Wait to Start" light to go off!

I have that same problem to but I figured a way out of it. Instead of waiting for the WTS to light I just say I'm letting the fuel pumps build pressure.
