Finally!!!

Finally! What seemed like years and years and years of searching I found a truck. I just signed the papers on it last night. It's a 1999 f350 XLT ecsb with 126k miles with a plow. The only mod that I can see is it has a complete k&n intake which I will be getting rid of ASAP Other than that I have all my to do mods listed in my sig. The only question I have is I read the article on how to tell the difference in early 99 and 99-03 trucks. And I'm pretty sure the build date is 12/98 but it has the cruise light, powerstroke emblem on the door and the intake draws air thru the grille not the wheel well. So do I have some type of hybrid truck or what?

there is lots of tween 99's if it has foil on the intercooler line is another guess other than that measure the track bar bolt to see.

What this nation needs is cleaner thoughts and dirtier fingernails...

4 bolts or 5 bolts on the compressor housing?
thats a easy way to tell.
early has 4 bolts, late 99 has 5 bolts.
is their an Air intake heater in the manfiold? if yes late 99

oh and instead of getting rid of the k&n intake. take the k&n filter off and put a 6637 filter on.
the 6637 filters much better and flows plenty

Alright I'll have to do that, what are the measurements for early 99 and 99-03? Or where can I find the measurements at?

Okay I'll take a look at see if it has 4 or 5 bolts and I'll check on the intake heater too. And yeah I guess I could do the 6637 filter, are there any advantages to doing the 6637 over a, say, afe intake or vice versa?
