Is it worth it?

Hey guys,

First time poster from northern B.C. Canada here. I'm on the hunt for a pick up truck for trailer/5er hauling and have decided I think I'd like an f350. I've been reading and researching here a lot about all the common engine types and their various good and bad aspects.

My main question is this: I have a somewhat limited budget and I would really like to buy a truck cash and avoid another payment. Is it worth it for me to buy a 6.0 with blown head gaskets and repair/bulletproof it? I do have a heated garage and am quite mechanically inclined.

There are currently 2 that I can see as candidates.

One is an 05, has 140,000 km (87,000 miles) asking $9500
The other is an 06 with 190,000 km (119,000 miles) asking $10,000

Both are pretty much the same aside from color, CC, lariat, leather, etc.

Thanks a lot guys.
