Someone answer me this makes no sense

Ok i got maybe 100 bucks in my exhaust! i got a piece of 3 1/2 flex pipe brand new from my shop for the cat delete. 48 bucks with clamps, i got a piece of 4" for the muffler delete 51.23 from mighty muffler. Im running 3 less hp then my friend zack in his 07 with 4in all the way back from turbo to tip with a straight threw muffler. he spent 800+ on his. on the dynos i ran 432 he ran a 435hp. and bought the same tqs. Umm my question is why spend the money on something that is going to do nothing under 500hp. im lost here. If you are over 500 then i can see it. but still my 01 has 4" all the way back i thought it make a difference and only dropped the EGT about 50 degrees. idk this messed up im going to get 4 for my 6.0 but im kinda wondering now lol

I don't think your power numbers support anything you are talking about. Two totally diffent trucks with some pretty stout mods to get that kind of power. Do you have before and after dynos of both trucks just for the exhuast?

435 is doable in a stock injector'd, stock turbo'd 6.0L. Just need a good tune and some simple bolt on's... Mamba, I would ask the question, I can understand your truck and your buddy's are close on power, how much difference in the EGTs between the two?

And BTW, if he's got $800 in exhaust, he got robbed IMO. I bought mine in 304SS for $630 to my door, including an extra tip.

if you took two brand new trucks off the lot and dynoed them you would get that too. None dyno the exact same. My buddy has an 06 same as mine , i just straight pipe my stock exhaust and he had a 4 " plus he had an accufab elbow and when we bumped speed limiters i would crawl past him at 2mph or so faster than him. I also did the same with my buddy with a brand new 07.
No two are exactly the same in perfrmance #s

ok me and my buddies looked over sheets and trucks found a major problem. his truck has a cracked aftercooler. And he would have pulled more. And he didn't run that cooler cuz of that reason. Ok my truck hit 1200 at manifold he hit 1076 after turbo. I didn't even think to look at turbo pressures i was so exicted i just was like WHAT!!!!!!! And i know no to trucks are the same i was just like wtf he has more done and every dyno is diff we will do it again and i will post results if this thread is still here


And ps who says thats just all thats done to my truck!
And tell granny that to hit 455hp with stock injectors and turbo
