Help... Good deal or?

Looking to buy a used 2010 f250 crew cab xl fx4 with the 6.4.. Was traded in at a local gm dealer and was listed at 34,900... It has 57,000 miles and is in very good condition... Aftermarket 20" wheels with 35" nitto mudds and a leveling kit... Would 33,900 out the door with a new set of nittos be a good purchase. Test drove the truck today and shifted smooth and drove great... Will be my first Ford and diesel after owning only gm prior... Never been steered wrong by the dealer... any input would be much appreciated...

Check the coolant to see if its below the line if its ever puked before..other than that if it runs good and looks good underneath..ya thats a good deal. dont know where you live but they have them here at the dealer in va for anywhere between 30-40k with low miles. Mods dont add value, always factor that in

Haven't checked the coolant but its the first thing I'll do tomorrow morning... Been approved for the truck so writing the check is all that is left... The carfax report is clean with scheduled maintenance every 5000 miles or so and one owner. Doesn't looked like it's towed anything as the hitch looks almost new... I'm in central ca. and diesels are hard to come buy used and in good condition... Thanks for the reply and if all is good I'll post a pic tomorrow...

Ryan

FWIW, I just had this happen, 05 6.0 pretty much died, and needed a truck ASAP. Ended up with a 2010, 53,500 miles, at $30,500. It had the following work done before selling by dealer; new pads/rotors(new not machined) all 4 corners, new alternator, new air filter, oil change, brand new LT tires on all 4 corners, alignment, and small things like full detail etc.

It's an XLT version, so not FX4 and did NOT have after market wheels/tires(I got to keep my old ones), and it had been towed as it has a gooseneck in it.

It had been 35,000 and they marked it down that day to 30,000 cuz it had been on the lot for a while, I think it was needing all that work done and that's why no one was buying it.

Anyways, I think your price is very fair, and being 1 owner is awesome too. I know after I got home, I realized the tranny fluid was a little darker than I like, so I had it flushed yesterday by a friend, all I had to do was buy the fluid. He did get to use it to tow his travel trailer around for the day too, but that only helped with the flush and warming it up.

I'd grab it if I were you.

Congrats. Thats a good truck bud @ a pretty fair price. Hope you enjoy it trouble free for years to come.

I just dont believe on those extended warranties. If something brakes, its always the only part that is NOT covered by those schemers.
