Water in Fuel!!!

WIF notification is on and drain plug is stripped, it's Friday night. How long can i safely drive before repairing. I was supposed to haul livestock tomorrow, i would imagine that is out!?!

What truck do you have? I know the on the 6.0 hfcm you can pull that whole plate off. That will drain the water and make more of a mess than you might want, but in a bind you gotta do what you gotta do.

Its the 2006 6.0 lariat...I bought a new plate from the dealer, but got to thinking maybe I can remove the plug and take the plate back to save $$...I've been driving it for a few days with the WIF alert, I'm wondering if it is safe to continue to drive, I have too much to do to be down for half a day.

Also, if I do pull the plate, how do i take the fuel lines off. Ive never done that before. From reading it sounds like i need a special tool. Thanks for your help!
