Last year for non-intercooled psd?

Does anyone know what year the last non-intercooled 7.3 was? There's one sitting on a pallet at my friend's school where he teaches. I can't find the magazine that I had which had all the diesel engines since the 80's from the big 3. I think it was a off-road adventures from 4wheel parts.....

It wasn't 99 because mine is 99 and intercooled. Are you so sure about the 98? I don't think it's 98 either because I've never heard of any 98 7.3's. Not even my banks catalog lists anything for a 98 year. It goes from 94-97 then jumps to 99 up!

Intercooled 7.3

Hey... There was no '98 7.3, making '99 the first year for the intercooled 7.3L, or '97 the last non-intercooled 7.3L.

Just curious, why were there no psds in 1998? Was there a diesel option or what?

becuase that is the year in between the old body stlye and the superduty. In 98 they only made the f-150 and the f-250 that looked like the 150. They never made a heavy duty f-250 or 350. So there was no diesel.

Checked Ford tech web page. No powerstroke in 98. just light duty F-250's with 4.6 or 5.4. I must have slept thru that one.

those light duty F-250 are the funiest thing ever kinda like semi floating 3/4 ton axles on mid 80's Chevys haha. I thought for '98 they were just using the 93-97 body style just to "use up the sheet metal"
