Need Confirmation

Ok I live near Detroit. So I usually hear some things about the auto industry. I have heard rumors from numerous people. That Ford is going to release a powerstroke diesel in the F-150. Supposedly this will happen in either 2009 or 2010.

Has anyone else heard this. I know Ford was talking about it a while back. But now I am hearing Ford Employees talking about it. I have a few buddies that work at a couple different Ford Plants near me. They all tell me this is going to happen.


I can understand why, because Chevy has stated in the 2009 Silverado 1500 there will be a diesel engine option. The 2500 and bigger have the D-max. The 1500 is getting the little max.

So what have you all heard lately about this.

What i have heard is that they are getting are 4.4 liter diesel in 09 or 2010 based on the diesel thats in the land rovers

Thats the engine size I have heard too from the people near me.

I am really curious about this.

I've been hearing the same rumor - I know a couple guys who are chomping at the bit for them to put one in an F-150.

I have heard the same and that they will be made in my hometown of louisville in the explorer plant supposedly they are gonna make those 2 vehicles in that plant. and i think its gonna be an f-100 cause they are getting rid of the ranger to make a slightly bigger truck to compete with the toyota tundra. thats the rumor i have heard
