remote starters and things

Can I get a remote starter for my '03 F250SD 6.0 PSD? My wife is getting tired of goin out a starting it in the morning...heheh. Also. I got the vapor in the fuel light and got my 6mm hex wrench to drain the fuel filter under the truck. Hex wrench spun and it's stripped. Can I just unscrew the filter to drain the water?

Thumbs up

I have a remote starter in my 04 PSD!! I had one in my last SD, and when I traded it in, and the dealer asked if I wanted one in the new truck!! I of course said YES!!! I love it. It is very handy in the winter and the summer. I am sorry that I can not help you with the other issue. I am sure someone else will chime in and help!!

I don't have one yet but it should be programed to wait for that low signal that is also sent to the gowplug light you see on the dash.

I wish i could get a remote starter but once again the stick shift screws me. No one once to put one in with a stick they say i may leave it in gear and try to start it. AM thinking about putting one in myself i hread you can bypass it.

Jim

Compustar makes several models of remote starts for diesels in either the manual or automatic flavor, make sure you get the right one.

It should have a clutch signal wire but how many times have you started the truck with it in gear anyway???

Compustar 2W900FM-AS(M) Two way Remote Starter/ Alarm - (eBay item 220161455483 end time Oct-27-07 08:14:37 PDT)

Link to ebay. Model 2W900FM-AS(M) is newest top model can be had for about $225.

If you are the least bit mechanically inclined (and I assume you are if you are even bothering to find out about stuff rather than trusting your vehicle solely to a Ford shop) you should be able to put it in in a couple of hours. Get someone to help that has done it before is even better.

Jim
