Ok guys so last weekend I met a landscaper that lives by me he pulled up in a pretty nice dodge mirrors down I might add. So I was grilling and went over to look at his truck 224k miles on an 03 he said it was quick so I wanted to check it popped the hood first thing I seem was a snow performance water meth kit wires were all over the place and tuning was apparent. So we kept drinking and I showed him my truck and was done to it and he asked what I did and told him I'm a mechanic by trade. So we went on called it a night swapped number to work out some side work. Well today I get a call while I'm sleeping at 10 am I work nights and it was him he's like hey man my trucks broke down. I was like what's up with it he said go to start it and it shuts right off so I drive like 20 mins away to take a look and run a scan here's what came out
So I'm like hmmmm I called him and was like hey bud have u got new fuel by any chance he's like no y then I click that tub going into the Intake manifold water meth injection.
So I asked him hey man did u by any chance refill that water meth container he's like yeah I added water to it he said the guy he bought the truck off of told him he didn't need to run boost juice. Lmao
At this point I'm like ok I got an idea I dumped that container of water out so it could not spray water into the motor and grabber some new diesel and my container of rev x distance I had in my truck. I dumped the new diesel in and pulled the fuel filter added a touch of Rev x right to the fuel bowl and started it up. Same thing happened it turned right off so I started it up like 3 more times but have it throttle and it slowly started working finally got it run right above 1200 Rpms let it sit at like 1200 for about a min let off and it went back to idle didn't turn off so I took it down the road for a test drive fixed the problem " from the dude the truck runs great man" thought y'all would get a kick out of this story here's a pic of the motor
