Fuel tank size 2003 F250 CrewCab LongBed?

Like the title says I have a 2003 F250 CrewCab LongBed. I am wondering what size fuel tank it has, I found a couple places that say 40. I have run it to where the Fuel light comes on and say 50miles to empty. Even then I can't put in more than 28-30 gallons. The fuel gauges shows full afterwards. I know Diesel foams, but should it be this far off. also, any tips to stopping it from foaming so much while fuelingup? thanks

Probably a 32 gallon tank Im guessing.

it all depends on cab, bed, and overall wheel base, but im guessing you have the 32 gallon tank based on what you have told us.....

I think mine is a 38, it even has the written on the side in chaulk

You have a shorter wheelbase so yours is smaller (the tank! )
He has the same year model and wheel base as me and mine is 36 gal. but if I"m totally below E and fill er' to the neck, i can get a gal or two over that in it.
Did i mention mine was bigger than Logans?

The long bed w/ extended or long bed should be automatically 38 or 39 gallons, the short box should be 29 gallons. At least that is the way it is w/ the 06s. I noticed that when I was trying to locate mine, that is the way it was w/ every truck I came across in the CC configuration.

Short answer...

29 gallon fuel cell for 6.5' box.
38 gallon fuel cell for 8' box.

You can often times cram more in, however the tank itself is that many gallons.

just joined the site and absolutely love it. I just purchased my first powerstroke ( 04 CC FX4 LB SRW 6.0L) and i love it. I believe Maintain had the tank size right at 29gallon short bed and 38 gallon long bed because mine has a 38 gallon tank cause the other day i put in 37 gallons and i was on fumes. Needle below the big E on the gauge.
