I was talking to a performance shop they were telling me that was releasing a new diesel in 2009 as a 2010.Because to many companies were complaining about the mileage of 6.4.He said he was talking to a owner of a hot shot company with 5 to 10 trucks and his fuel bill went up by 50%.Has any one else heard about this new motor

Thats the first i heard of a replacement for the 6.4. They are possibly releasing a diesel for the f150's in 09 though

rumor had it before the 6.4 was released that it was just a temp. motor till 2010.....but ive never heard that actually confirmed. If they do come out with a new motor...it will have nothing to do with the milage of the 6.4......it will have to do with meeting ever restricting emmissions standards

I heard it was a diesel for the F150's too, possibly 2009-2010.

thats true.....its a 4.2 or 4.3 liter V-8 based off of the land rover diesel...

Ford Dealer told me that F150 will have a straight 6 diesel option in 09

everything ive heard was a small v-8.....and i heard that strait from our regional rep's mouth...

hi guy imtotaly new to this site im look at old issue of diesl power fords has v6 made by cat for 150s I hear there work on there own moter taking cat out of the loop

ive never heard of that.....ive never heard CAT mentioned in the f-150 talk...

ford did try to put the little v-6 they put in the low cab forewads in the f-150.....but the vibration was too much since it was a 90 degree v-6.....

they are currently planning on putting thier own motor in it...based off of the land rover v-8 (ford owns land rover) from everything ive heard.....
