Anybody else have this issue?

With sensor style traffic lights?

My truck is a single cab with 8"left and 37's. Certain traffic lights don't register that I'm there. I went back with a friends car and it works. But I sat for 15 minutes, rolled back and forth and have tried multiple times at a few lights in my town and they just don't see my truck.


Anybody else have this happen? Most do work for me

I have seen this with motorcycles there is something you can do with magnets that makes them trip

nope, neither of my trucks have that, theres no sensors in the ground ?

Yeah I know of the issue with motorcycles and even small cars. I was lost when I had it with my truck. I'm in a small town so the systems are pretty old, all the newer lights recognize I'm there right away. So far I've found 3 that don't, one I have to hit regularly and hope somebody is coming from the opposite direction.

it reads the metal from your rig afaik, but since yours is much higher and "away" from the street it wont see you, best thing is call the dot and have them update it lol, but good luck with that, or you could loose a few inches lol

Lose a few inches? That won't leave me enough to work with!


On a serious note I did some experimenting. I have issues at all the lights in town that have had the road repaved since the sensors were installed, where they have covered up the sensors with however thick a layer of asphalt. It's a small town, I talked to the local police and they said 5 minutes if it doesn't change just "proceed safely". The local cops are pretty good about, well everything.

I can get my hands on some pretty powerful magnets from work so I might try that like bikes do.
