Looking for best Year of Power Stroke

What it is the best year that Ford had for there Power Stroke? I am looking to buy a F250 and would like to get the best year and motor I can find.

You will get a lot for the 7.3 and alot for the 6.0 and some for the 6.4 Dont know what to say because I have only dealt with the 7.3 everyone will be on later i would say Good luck and happy hunting

2000 and older 7.3 has forged rods and i beleave 2001 and up has pressed rods. need to see when engen was made. but 7.3 all the way if you want to stay out of the shops.

I’m kinda partial to my early 99 but 99.5-2000 is probably the best, kinda depends on what you plan to do with it and how much you plan to spend.

If you want the most reliable get an 03 with a 7.3. That'll get you a 5 speed over the ole 4 speeds. If you want 6.0 go 05-07. The 6.4s are still new, I wouldn't get because rumors that its a temp engine.

+1 for the early 99.

Any 7.3 from 95-2000 is the best for me. But like he said, "what you plan to do".
