vin locked tuner needs unlocking

So I found an Evolution for sale for dirt cheap. But its vin locked. Now before I spend the money on it how can I get it unlocked?

The person that you are thinking of buying it from should be able to unlock the vin. If that cannot be done contact EDGE and they should be able to help, I had a similar prob. with my superchip 1805 and that what i did. good luck

Well the truck it was in was totalled and so he never could get it unlocked.

I emailed edge about it. Im tryin to decide if it worth spending 75 bucks on it or not.

If it reads codes it may be worth it

Well I can't use it. Its for a 6.0 but I figured I could help a fellow stroke owner out by getting them a good deal on it.
