Alot of guys on here are going to recommend the TS chip. its a 6 position chip that you can adjust on-the-fly. I have one thats waiting to be installed. It was highly recommended to me.

best chips
I got the ts chip and it works good for me.Its easy to install all you got to do is pull your computer out of your truck pull off the plastic box put the chip in the slot cut a hole in the plastic then put it back together.U can drill a hole anywhere to put the 6 pos. knob. With the 6 different settings u can get 50, 70, 100, 140, factory, high idle, anti theft, or governer.

Don't forget you need to install gages too - very important. A Boost and Pyro gage at least. A TS chip will require seperate gages.
If you get one of either Edge or Quadzilla packages, they have a monitor that takes place of these gages and will monitor many things besides just boost and exhaust gas temps (EGT). I personally am going to order the Quadzilla setup. One of the sponsors on here will probably be along soon to tell you all more.:burnout |

The TS 6 position chip will be able to be monitored and controlled by the quadzilla commander. It is either ready now or will be very soon. I will check with Larry on this, he will know. He has been talking to them daily on other options soon to come out. They will have a turbo timer available for the Commander very soon.
Yes, back to the original question. We sell alot of different brands and styles of power adders for the 7.3L and the TS 6 position chip is by far our best selling item. Give us a call for your best price. Remember to let us know you are from here. |

Hey 00ba250...Is there such a thing as too many mods?
Just kidding. I got the TS chip and love it. You pick how much power you want or need. I just installed the Quadzilla Commander to keep track of the temps and pressures. The Commander watches EGT, Boost, Trans temp, and Coolant temp. These come stock. This maybe overkill, but it wasn't too much more $ than 3 separate gauges with a pod. I for one am not a big fan of the A-pillar pods. Some people like em. With the Quadzilla you can track 6 or 7 items, control the TS chip and get rid of the knob, & have the safety of defueling plus soon have a turbo timer. I do wish you could unplug the Commander to take out with you as a safety precaution.Good Luck with your decision. p.s. You may also want to think about an exhaust before the chip to help EGT's. An intake would also be good, but not imperitive. That's not too many mods is it?

Also, check with DPP before you buy! Those guys ROCK and will treat you right as well as knowing their stuff.

OK, I'm getting ready to do some modifications on my '06 F/350 Superduty. I pull a gooseneck horse trailer and most of my driving is on the open roads here in New Mexico. I've been looking at the Banks 6 gun but its a little pricey. I'd like to get better mpg, less turbo lag etc. So, what's the best chip, exhaust configuration and air intake? This is my first round with a diesel so any and all suggestions are welcome and appreciated.
Thanks Tj |
