DEALERSHIPS good bad and indifferent
We have a member approved repair facilities and i have been reading a lot of dealership this and then stealership that.
I think we need to post the GOOD dealerships somewhere. I have 4 dealers in Alaska I deal with. The closest is 70 miles away and the one i use the most is 500 miles away. I own two PSDs my 95 i bought used and the 05EX i bought new.
my dealerships are as follows
Stanley Ford (i think... been sold many times) Soldotna, AK- ok service
Cal Worthington Ford Anchorage, AK - helpful to the DIY guys with need for info
Nye Frontier Ford Wasilla, AK Great sales reps and very helpful for purchasing but just ok on service
Seekins Ford Fairbanks, AK- the best SERVICE in the stat as far as I am concerned. as a business owner it counts a lot to me if a busy shop can squeeze me in so i dont loose $$. these guys have done this for me several times. ant the service adviser even changed my alternator in front of his desk AFTER I WENT TO NAPA TO BUY IT AND BROUGHT IT BACK.
NOT all dealeships are stealerships so lets sort them out here.
I travel the USA quite a bit (a little less now) and would like to pull up the ORG when I am cruzin new areas and know where to go with confidance (if I cant knock on the door of one of you guys).
sorry for the long post but i can see where some of these guys get defensive about stealership when they dont all apply.
