extreme air compressor for on board air system

Does anyone know anything about these compressors 07. ExtremeAire Magnum ? I am going to install an on board air system to run tools and also a train horn on my F250 but i won't buy from china so am looking for a suitable compressor. Any ideas?

I run a ViAir 450C which is rated for constant 100% duty and it puts out 150Psi and never had a problem whatsoever. Its also a little easier on the wallet!!

That is the exact compressor i was going to buy untill i discovered it was made in china that is why I'm looking for something diferent.
What size tank did you install? Do you also run power tools and train horn? Where did you instal your compressor and tank? Thanks for the input BigRed

I have a 5 gallon tank and yes it will run an IR Titanium impact, fill up tires, and of course train horns. The compressor is mounted on the frame rail, tank is in the bed for now. I looked at the underhood extreme aire compressors and they look they would be awesome except for the $800 price tag on the mounting kit. Where did you see the Viairs are made in china?

X2 for the oasis compressor. If you don't want to spend over a thousand on just the compressor then the viair 450 paired with a 5 gallon tank will work well for train horns and filling tires. You might be able to use some air tools with that setup but not for very long.

How do you support a 150 amp load for that compressor without dual alternators? They put out big time but they need more current than most vehicles can supply.

I emailed the manufacturer and there rep said that. Out of curiosity, what does it ssay on yours as to where it was manufacturered. Yes, extreme air are expensive but they are made to us military spec and can be mounted in any position and are completely waterproof. water proof is a nice feature for a fram rail mount in my case cause i do have occasion to ford creeks.
So, five gallon does the job then? I was wondering what size would have sufficient capacity without going over board.
