So i dropped off my truck at the dealership this morning for head gaskets and studs to be put in by an old class mate from high school.

The tech ( Cris ) just called me and said "i have your quote ready its going to be 5600 bucks to have all this work done. Ford wont cover it under warrenty. But i do have the cab in the air and just started tearing in to the motor when i realize that i forgot to call you with the price I hope you don't mind ."
I said "your kinding ford won't cover it?"

He said "Nope I see that you had a chip hooked up to it so the warranty is voided."

long pause:th ud:

Cris said "I"m just kidding every thing is covered and it should be done on Thursday"

I just thought i would share that with everyone. Now i"m of to go clean my shorts. LOL

Morries Ford in Minnetonta But they are not mod friendly from what i hear. He told me that he voided someones waranty on friday but he gave the guy a chance to come clean and have the work done and the guy still lied to him.

I did something funny like that to one my my old service writers....

He had a 2000 f-350 that was his baby!! He had me do a tranny service on it.....

I pulled the pan off....walked over to the brake lathe and threw in a small handfull of shavings......

Then i walked up front and said...."uh bill.....i think we got a problem here...how has your tranny been shifting recently" and then showed him the pan

i had to come clean cause i thought he was gonna cry

ive done the same thing....im cool with stuff till someone lies to me...especially when it costs me time on a job....

In high school shop we plugged a signal light blinker into the fuel pump fuse slot on the shop teachers chebby truck. It was great. he fired it up and it would go vreem put vrum put vrum put vrum put. he spent like an hour trying to figurer out what was wrong with it untill I told him I could fix his truck in 30 seconds if he would go an get me a pop.

the funny part is he went to get me a pop I replaced the blinker with the fuse and never would tell him what was wrong with it.
