Smile Greetings! New to the forums, couple questions...

Hello everybody. My name is Tim, and this is my first post to the forums. I currently do not have my truck yet, however am doing research as I have wanted one for a really long time.

As an outdoors lover, I have been wanting a nice truck to get me where I need to go, and some wicked power to shut down some people on the street... oh, and who can forget about some thick black smoke as you blow by people?! I mean, what could be more enjoyable? A comfy big ole truck with massive amounts of power and the reassurance of knowing "yeah, i can pull that".

So as you all can see I have been bitten by the diesel bug, and bad.

My questions to you all are simple ones. What truck to get, what price to be looking for, and what mods would be good to start out with.

Here is the current situation I am in right now. I have found an 07 6.0l f250, slightly used, with 31k miles on it... the dealership is asking 37 for it. how much do you all think I could get this truck for, and having read some of the problems with the 6.0l, should I wait to find a slightly used 6.4l instead?

Any other advice would be most appreciated!

Thanks in advance for all your help, and nice meeting you.

to the org! I would definitely consider the 6.0; despite their bad reputation, they are solid engines.

Personally I'd jump for the 6.0, although $37K sounds a little high in my book...

Nothing against the 6.4, but it is still a first year run, and I avoid first years like the plague....

And welcome to the ORG!

First off let me say welcome to the org. Now about the 6.4L From what I have read they are not too mod friendly (yet anyways). the 6.0 has some problems but its nothing that cant be avoided if you just read up on there here and they are so simple to mod its insane. everything is pretty much just a bolt on thing. but do some reading around the org and see for yourself.
