This is my theory on ATF, ATF is a solvent, Diesel is used to lubricate things like Injector pumps and stuff, do you really want to take the lubrication properties out of the fuel?? Personally I use a quart once a YEAR in our Kubota 4cyl engines, but ONLY because our engines spend alot of time idleing and will eventually fill the exhaust ports with enough carbon they won't start. Also, they are not a comon rail engine and if it dies I don't have to walk lol

my opinion is there are too many detergents in ATF.....along with the fact that ATF will not mix with diesel well enough to use it. The detergents in the ATF can make O rings, such as the ones on the injectors and for the fuel filter drain brittle, and all around is a bad idea...
