LSD QUESTION

I PURCHASED MY TRUCK ON AUGUST 2007 , SINCE THAT THE REAR WHEELS DON,T SPIN BOTH WHEN I DO A BURNOUT AND ALSO ON HARD LAUNCHES. JUST THE RIGHT REAR WHEEL SPINS , ONLY A VERY FEW TIMES BOTH SPIN EQUALLY. ALL THE GUYS WHO KNOW FROM THIS TRUCK TOLD ME THAT THE LSD IN MY TRUCK IS STANDARD , AND IT,S SUPPOSED TO SPIN BOTH WHEELS EVERYTIME I DO A BURNOUT OR HARD LAUNCHES. PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG OR NOT.

I thought you were talking about drugs! As for the diff, I don't know if it is std., or not, but I know that my truck spins both tires everytime.

read the code on the tag on the rear diff cover . if it is a limited slip, then it may have problems. also, limited slip is not the same as posi, spool ,lincoln locker etc.

how i know in the tag that is a posi ?

Isn't the OEM LSD a friction disc operated limited slip? If so then they do wear out. And, they aren't that tight when brand new.

i think that the ratio will have an "L" in between the numbers. example- 3 L 73. i am looking for one of my books to clarify. also, it does have friction discs and they do wear out. my truck is at the body shop , or i would go look at it.
