Grill cover
Any of you guys have grill covers to help your engine run warmer in the winter? If so are they worth it and where can you find them?

i kind wanted to know the same thing, but i might try to make something "custom" later on, i have a spare grille to work with, but i need to allow for the Zoodad of course.

i wouldn't worry about the zoodad, the truck got by without it stock, so it should be fine for the winter. And i don't know about you, but when it's this cold m y foot seems to be a little lighter.

I dont use one but lots of people just put card board on there grills. i wpuld imagine you can get them at auto parts stores, or like a farm and fleet store (sorry i dont know if you have farm and fleets where your at)

your going to be limited on what you can find. ford offers one for the 08 but the only aftermarket one i have seen is from FIA for about 50 bucks and looks like a quilt and also comes with a screen for summer and bugs.
other than that you could make something. there are many vinyl bras for duramax but nothing for the superduties otherwise LUND has a stainless grill cover (160) and also some plastic snap in ones for 55 bucks |

I got mine from Lund several years ago. I have a 1997 PSD. A plastic insert fits into each opening of the grille and you can remove as needed. Each insert has small holes. I even use it during the summer helps with the bugs and the temp stays in the normal range. I've made several trips east to Nova Scotia from Denver during the summer keeps the radiator almost clean. I also run the mountains with camper and boat during the summer with it. The only temp increase comes, on the warm side, when I pull the grade to the Eisenhower tunnel which is over 10k feet as I recall. Not sure if they still sell them.....525
