Superduty Gas vs Diesel suspension differences?

I'm looking to buy a truck for a Cummins conversion and I'm trying to figure out if there is any differences between Gas suspension and a Diesel suspension. V8 vs V10 vs Powerstroke.
I'm wondering also the differences in the suspension between the 99-04 and 05+
I know the 99-04 suspension is leaf springs and that in 05 they went to the coils, but what is the serious advantage, other than turning radius? Also i read the 08+ is different as well.
Any explanation or information would be appreciated.
