caterpillar injectors

does anybody know if cat injectors will fit into a 2000 7.3? i saw an injector off a c7 and they look the exact same. i work at a cat dealership and can get i good deal on them if they would fit.

Those injectors are made by the same people but I have never heard anything about them being interchangeable. I think it's a same church different pew kind of thing.

nope wont work I was doing a injector swap at work , And one of the other mechanic was changeing a set in a cat, we laid them side by side they were different. But if I remember right the DT466E is real close to the same.

Sorry to go off topic, but how much do cat decals run, say in the size of a foot or so tall?

Yes, I believe that's where Bcodes originated, but I could be wrong?

A few years ago at Indy DHRA a local company here called Turbo & Diesel Injection Co. had a 7.3 injector sitting out on display. It was only then that I realized just how large and heavy they are!

Awesome Marty sounds good. I found some on E-bay, they're cheaper than I thought.

I've been looking for some at the Cat Rental store that I've been doing some work at the last week or so, but Cat decals were few and far between. I did snag a few nice size JLG Lift decals, and was going to get a Sullair one but it was too big. I did get a couple cans of the high gloss yellow they use to touch up machinery. I'm in need of it all for a project I'm working on. It's a Craftsman toolbox that's probably 15+ years old, it (was) red but has all kinds of rust spots and in need of new paint. I've almost got it down to bare metal all around but my batteries died and my salamander (using good 'ol #2) was running full time just to keep it warm in the garage. Anyway the box will be painted the yellow, with some black and a little bit of red and a couple of decals on each side and across the top/lid. I plan on it looking almost as if it could grow tracks and a blade and start pushing soil!

So you are saying the C7 isn't a HEUI system? If I'm not mistaken Caterpillar was the originators of the HEUI system.
