Question 99-04 F-350 4 door short box dually

F-350 4 door short box dually is what i want. i was thinking about taking a extended cab long box frame and putting a 4 door cab and a short box, and put dually rear fenders on the short box. is this a good idea or not?

I saw an 06 F350 KR that was CC/short bed when I was buying last summer. Seems I've seen a CC/sb dually on the road - the dually fenders are right up against the fuel cap. From what I've read, if you haven't bought it already, it's cheaper and better to buy a dually than to convert one - you get the heavier Dana 80 axle.

Since you already have the dually fenders, you could find a single rear wheel short bed and swap the fenders to it. That would probably be easier than finding a factory dually short bed. If I remember correctly, the fuel filler has to be mounted in the dually fender, though. The fenders are almost even with the front of the bed on a short bed. You may want to measure a crew cab short bed's wheel base and compare it to a super cab long bed. It may not be as easy as swapping sheet metal. The measurements don't work out on the OBS trucks, but they may on the super duties. I used to have a regular cab long bed truck and wanted to put a super cab short bed on it. I was still going to have to cut the frame. I'm sure someone here will be able to give you a wheel base of a CC/SB. Good luck.

the super cab frame is diff. than our crew cab, so i had to make new mounts, we got the cab bolted down with 3" body lift. and the interior is done , I mite put a BIG RIG kit on it, i want 38"+ duallys. ordered a 8.5" pro comp lift kit. this truck is going to be HUGE!!!!
