does anyone else always find themselves looking for other diesel pickups. Checking for badges, gauges or big exhaust tips. anyone to have a little fun with.

I've had my truck for about 2 1/2 years and it is my first diesel. I absolutely love diesels now, and it (and this website) has created a monster. my girlfriend hates it, cause i would rather spend money on my truck than save for a house.

Yep, for every make, Fords Dodges and GMs I am always looking to see if it diesel or gas. When it's gas I feel so cheated, that's a few seconds of my life I can't get back.

Same here. Even if it's another brand, if it's an oil burner I like it. If it isn't - what a waste of a perfectly good truck. The new cummins badge can be sort of hard to spot.

I feel kinda smug when stopped next to one of those pretentious imports with their paper thin body and toothpick axle. Big Duke sort of towers over them, growling powerstroke, bulging duallies, massive Dana 80 rear end. That's not a truck. This is a truck.

What is really bad is that I have taught my 9 year old to tell the difference between the oilburners by sound. She can also just by sound tell me whether it is a 7.3 or 6.0.
