know anything about the 4cyl turbo diesel in the '05 and '06 Jeep Liberty? I have one home from my dealership tonight, thinking about buying it. 300 ftlb's of torqe and 30 mpg's plus 4x4 isn't bad. Let me know if you know anything.

Been looking at one for the girlfriend...seems to be a nice little motor, over 20 mpg( heard as high as 25 )...plus, they are tunable...another 50 hp! They look pretty sweet with a lift and 31s or 33s.

Brand new they list at $25,000. With employee pricing they run about $22,000. Used theyre going about $ 18,000. They are running around 30 mpg.

Had I not needed the large truck, I would have bought the Liberty CRD immediately. You can't go wrong with it. That's a basically a Mercedes engine under the hood, and we all know the rep of Mercedes diesels. If you have use for it, I'd buy it.
