SuperChips Programmer

One of my buddies took his truck to the dealership the other day and forgot to take his programming out before they looked at it. I guess they pulled the code or cleared the code but he is unable to pull his program back out or change anything. It is now saying it is vin locked. I was wondering if there was anything else he could do or anything he could try. Have any of you had this happen to you? He called the company and they said without a receipt it would be $200 bucks to unlock it and for that he could just get something else. Thanks for any help.

Did you knock him in the head for being so forgetfull? Thats like telling a cop your not drunk with a Beer in your hand. He is going to need to have Superchips unlock his tuner, or get something better.

Hey Logan...If he's got a 7.3, tell him not to waste his $200 on the unlock. Tell him to get a TS chip for just a little more money. They kick a$$.

Yeah I know they are; I have one. But, he is not looking for anything with that much power to it. It just does some towing and things of that nature. No burning ricers or anything like that. I think they will unlock it for free plus the cost of shipping there and back if he can find the receipt. Oh well. Maybe I can talk him into something else but I doubt it.

If he is looking for something good for towing, tell him to look at the quatzilla T. its for towing, 90hp and 140tq gain for 200 new on ebay all day long..

OK great, thx. I will let him know. Maybe just keep the superchips for a code reader and get something else. Oh well, too bad to screw up a good programmer though
