Trailer wiring

All,

New guy on the board and I have to say I love what I see so far so thanks for having me. Just purchased a 7x16 PaceAmerican cargo trailer and have a simple question one of you guys might be able to answer. The inside of the trailer has a light that is powered by the truck. I've been told that to get it to work I need to put a fuse in my truck that relates to the 7pin trialer light hookup. Does anyone know what that fuse location is and how many amp fuse I should use?

Thanks for the help!

I believe the trailer plug leads are all fused already, the fuses will be in the fuse box under dash or on drivers side in the engine compartment. Others here will correct me if I'm wrong. Once again

Thanks for the welcome! I thought the same thing too, but that's not the case. Don't get me wrong all of the exterior lights on the trailer operate as they should. I am only talking about the interior cargo light in the trailer.

I'm going to dig into it tonight and see what I find.

Thanks for the feedback!

Google search "7 round trailer plug" the center point is hot with key on for powering break away kits, interior lights, or battery. I think that will work, if not sorry I don't know.

Hey Jarhead,
Did you find the trailer fuse in the engine compartment? If so did it work for you?
