Help New Guy Out!!

OK New to this, need some advice. I have a 2005 6.0 FX4, I started to see antifreeze in the driveway dripping from over the starter. I took it into ford to learn my warranty had expired by two weeks. They told me it was a coolant line that ran under the intake and would cost about $400.00 to fix, then they proceeded to tell me that my EGR cooler was close to needing to be replaced, along with the Oil Cooler. Then they told me that the pressure on my coolant cap was at it max of 15 pounds and that was a sign my headgaskets were about to blow!! to fix all this they quoted me $6000.00 and Ford would not "good faith" it because it didn't need to be done right away!, So i laughed at then and left. I have worked on a few engines in my day, but this has been my first diesel. I bought the thing with 980000 miles and have not had any trouble til now, at 140000 miles. So I have read on here about EGR Delete's, what would be a good brand to use, and a good brand for a Oil Cooler? THen which hose running under the intake are they talking about? Last can a person get the heads off, without taking the cab off, Ford told me it could not be done!! Please any help would be great.

So your gonna wanna do the EGR delete or upgrade. Id suggest the delete and then for the oil cooler you could go oem or kick it up a knotch with some cool aftermarket (bullet proof diesel is what I went with). While your in there go ahead and do the turbo oil line up grade, Flush the coolant BEFORE the new oil cooler and grab a new degass cap. Im sure I forgot something but reeley not that hard of a job. Easy weekend job
And yes you can pull the head with the cab on. Sounds to me like they just want your money.
