Something all PSD owners can appreciate
Hopefully this will put a smile on everyone's face.... especially the techs that surely get tired of hearing "Dayum stealership screwed me again!!!" posts.
Last week I put my truck in the shop for an oil leak and high oil level in the crankcase. It sat at a dealer (one of the largest in the US) that is close to me for four days. They never touched it so I went and got it. I can't do without my truck so I got on the phone and started dialing. Every dealer in the area was "booked" up and I was thinking I made a mistake by being impatient and taking my truck out of line. Then, I called the dealer I bought my truck from. They are 70 miles away (1 way) but are the nicest people at one of the smallest dealers I've ever seen. I didn't even know they had a service dept. let alone a diesel tech! (it's that small) I brought my truck in the next morning and they had it done in about 6 hours. My suspicions were correct thinking fuel was leaking into the cylinders. They changed out the o-rings on two injectors. They also got a code on my ICP sensor. That turned out to be melted from a short and was causing the oil leak. (don't ask me I dunno anything about this truck) So, for my $100 deductible, I got two injectors fixed, a new ICP, new oil and filter and a smile on my face all before the end of one day. Kudos to Franklin Ford in Anahuac, TX I should of known they would of treated me good after how good they were to me when I ordered my truck through them. They didn't even make me put down any money like ALL the other dealers wanted (most wouldn't order one at all) They're not that far from you guys in Houston. Just the other side of Baytown. If you need your truck looked at, give them a chance. You might be shocked like I was at how smooth it actually can go. |

I think what a lot of techs will do is they will just "band aid" fix the problem the first time and then when the truck is in for a recheck they will then fix it right. This happened to me once so I went and talked to the service manager and he let the tech have it (yelling) and since then my truck has never been in for a recheck besides the tranny.

Man.. great to hear you found somewhere to get service like that. That dealership is now either gonna love you.... or hate you, one of the two. Considering that you just bragged them up on here.. they are probably gonna get swamped with Diesel trucks!!! They'll either be very happy for the extra business, or upset that they are so covered up!! |
