Engine coolant

I took your advice and switched to a ELC coolan. I drained the old put water in 4 gallon to be exact drove the truck heard a whistling sound under the hood directly in front of them heard a thud stopped look at coolant level or was fine took off again no more noise temp gauge did not spike looked to be in normal range. Did I over heat or screw something up? Input please. It's a 2006 6.0

Re: Engine coolant

Don't trust the temp gauge.
Might be a bad coolant bottle cap.
Hope you flushed the system more than just draining and refilling

I made my Samsung SGH-I997 send this.
