miles per gallon

Everybody would like more power including me. But I was also wondering what kind of mileage everybody's getting? Does the 7.3 do better than the 6.0 what about auto vs. manual? What kind of upgrade modes get you power as well as mileage? Just wondering ?

First of all mileage is subject to driving habits and vehicle condition. Drive nice, for one. Keep it under 70.
Inflate your tires!! Under inflated tires can cost you 1mpg!

As for mods, something small would help. Superchips or Edge downloader helps, as does the Edge juice, which is adjustable. There are many good products out there.

Synthetic oils tend to help mileage out a bit.

As for 6.0 vs 7.3 - I dunno. I hear all sorts for either side. Sorry.

i have an 03 F-350 6.0 liter and can average 16. 20 on the highway if i drive no more than 63 mph with no headwind etc. My dad has the same engine in a F-250 and he reports 21 highway if he keeps it under 70mph.
I have gotten as good as 25 mpg highway - had a 45 mph tailwind though

2003 6.0 F350 dually on high cholesterol fuel (WVO)

I ran my first tank of fuel through my new (to me) F-250. It has a Banks aftermarket turbo, exhaust, fuel control system, and tranny control module in it. Mixed highway and city, with easy driving, is 16.7mpg. Oh, my truck is a crew cab 4X4...and I'm operating at altitude (Denver area).
