Just to clarify, but I think you all know what I am asking. I have always wanted a diesel but dont know much about them. I have been a lifetime F150 gasser guy. Should I have a diesel mechanic do an inspection??
Or am i screwed? I dont want to just take the dealers word for it because they probably dont know its history. I want a stock truck, for now. After warranty, I will do all the deletes, take care of dpf and egr, exhaust, etc etc. Thank you for simcere replies and help. God bless.

Is the truck at a Ford dealership or somewhere else?
Why do you suspect that it may not be stock? Can you see signs of tool marks on bolts etc??

It is at a dealership but not a Ford. I am not sure it is stock because i read all of this forum and have talked to so many people and it seems that just about everybody mods their diesel. Which is great and I will to, but after warranty expires.

most real dealers can not sell a truck without the emissions in tact

that being said for a 2011 it should be easy to tell

if nothing else swing it by a ford dealer and ask ,,

now for the real question why is someone dumping a new truck at 23k?

Zmannn, all excellent points. The key word "shouldn't" sell..... I know we have both seen dealers do stupid/ crooked stuff.

Great? About why truck is for sale. Lost job? Accident? Who friggin knows right
