New exhaust?

I just bought a 94 f-250 I plan on stacking it but I have no idea about exhaust systems I want to redo it to get the best power to pull our boats and also to blow a little smoke off a 6 position every now and then just for show but what is the best way to do an exhaust for that I heard like 3 inch downpipe to something before it goes to the dual stacks but I don't know what all that means im a diesel noob
