upfitter power question
Hello all, Im a newbie here and I have a question about the upfiffet switches in my 2006 F250. I am wanting to hook my train horn air valve switch to them. I notice that when you flip the UF switches up, the amber light comes on.
My question is, do those UF switches supply power when fliped up, or are they simply just a toggle? I know the best way to find out would be to use a volt meter, but Im at work right now and would like to know before I get home. Thank you for any help...I have looked around and have seen some really good support on here. Patrick |

They supply power. Upfitters 1 and 2 are rated at 30a and upfitters 3 and 4 are rated at 10a.

Just behind the fuse panel under your dash there is a bundle of 4 wires that are capped off, these are the wires that come from the upfitter switches. They supply +12volts when you turn on the corresponding upfitter switch.
They're all orange, with different colored stripes: Aux-1 wire color: Orange/Lt. Green [30amp] Aux-2 wire color: Orange [30amp] Aux-3 wire color: Orange/Yellow [10amp] Aux-4 wire color: Orange/Lt. Blue [10amp]
